Aoki does a very well job of portraying the characters that she plays in her performances. The way that she manipulates her voice, body language, and facial expressions truly shows the change in character and how unique they each are. In each interpretation, she allows the different experiences and personalities of each character flow through her. Another important factor is the music that she chose to use. It definitely helped with the transitions of the play and keyed the audience in (especially in the audio) on the scene changes. Overall, Aoki does a very excellent job of solo performing and I enjoyed viewing the videos and hearing the audio of her work.
